In my 20 years within industries varying from family businesses to multinational organisations, the common denominator of success is that all activates have the customers needs in mind.
Do more for your customer than your competitors and you will have a sustainable business model.

Marketing activities can be as simple or as complicated as you wish, but you must know what are the drivers of your customers behaviours to have any chance of success.
How can you get this insight? Engage with them. Whether it's at the shop door, through customer surveys or focus groups, the insight you you get from customers will set you on the right course.
Customers will tell you what is important to them.
Knowing these and ensuring you measure up to them, is all about knowing your customer. Talk to a marketing professional who can give you access into the wonderful mind of your customers...
